Some proclaim the Mojito traces back to the 16th century named after Sir Frances Drake and his successful escapes at Cartagena. A concoction of lime, sugarcane and mind offered my natives Indians to cure scurvy. It was the initial combination of these ingredients that gave birth to the modern Mojito cocktail. Deco Sandwich Mojito consists of five ingredients – lime, mint, sugar, rum and a splash of club soda. However the original island recipe contains a special mint variety very popular among Miami’s Cuban community.
